oh Brother!
I really had to think about this one. I had told myself i wouldn't blog about anything to personal. Then i thought why not, isn't this about whats important to me? It is after all my Bottom line.
I have one sibling, my Brother. Some may say the more siblings you have the better it is, some say not having any is best.
I always like to fall some where in the middle. One is perfect!
This isn't going to be all about how perfect he is.. what i love about him is that he's totally not perfect! My brother and I, like any other siblings, have had our ups and downs. Those years when you are growing up and you hate even the sound of their shoes walking down the hall or the years you swore mom loved him best (she did).
What is so great about my big brother is simply this...
What a great Man he has become. He impresses me continually with his resourcefulness and tenacity.
What a great Father he has become. Like all of us Parents has made mistake but knows the true benefits of standing your ground and Sierra my niece is a great woman now in huge part to her dad.
What a great husband he has become. I would have to refer to his wife on this one mostly but i don't think she has enough complaints to fill a composition book!
What a great uncle he has become. My girls love uncle and know if they need him he is a phone call away night or day.
What a great step dad he has become. This is a love that my brother gives with all that of a biological dad.
Patrick and I have been through alot in our lives together and separately. I know that no matter what, my brother whether im right or wrong listens and tries to understand me. Some days a ear is just what I need and sometimes, just like any other man, he tries to fix it.
He is a true constant in my world something i am grateful for on a daily basis. I make sure no matter how busy i am he knows at the end of every conversation that I love him.
The bottom line is whether we have Brother's or sister's they are part of us in a way that is in embedded in our hearts.. love them or hate them you can't give them back!
