Resolutions

Happy New Year!

It is now 2011... it has snowed again in Atlanta and I'm sitting in my cozy living space with my girls, homework done, pictures in the snow taken and now writing.

Most people make New Years Resolutions to start the Year off with things they want to change or do better in the coming months.
What are the most common New Years Resolutions?

Exercise More/Lose weight
Spend more time with family
Quit smoking
Quit drinking
Get out of debt
Learn something new
Be happier
Get organized

Did you know that 4 out of 5 people do not fulfill their Resolution? Only one out of a handful of people actually keep their promise to themselves.

Making a promise to ourselves can be the easiest one to break, many of us put others ahead of ourselves on a daily basis.
This past year came and went just like all the others, although this past one seemed to spin forward faster.
A few years ago I made some resolutions for myself, not necessarily on new years eve but resolutions about the coming years.

Have I kept the promises to myself? Mostly.
Today I am sitting on my couch with two people that Love me unconditionally, going to school like I wanted too, taking pictures every chance I get, and writing to get things out of my head.

The bottom line is...what ever your Resolutions are, give yourself the resolve to be patient with yourself, next year will be here before you know it!
