Quite simply simple..
As i sit on my soft couch next to my darling 10 year old sharing a hot from the oven Chocolate Pecan cookie i am thinking of the simple things.
It seems to many days pass and the simple pleasures of life flitter by without us noticing even when they are quit literally so close they are in our personal space and trying to steal what is left of our cookie!
I have to confess most mornings when i have to walk the dog, get kids ready for school, do the laundry and dishes, go to work and prepare meals.. wheew there is a ting of uuggh in my voice.
Sometimes it takes me a entire day to be thankful that I have a dog that has been a loyal companion for 12 years, two great girls, have clothes and dishes to wash, a job at all and above all food to prepare for those i love.
I had a conversation the other day with a girl friend about simple things that make the toughest days wash away. The moment you get a 3 word text from that special boy, someone smiles at you or you have the best hair day in weeks!
Just when you think you need more.. look around and take notice of what is quite simply great around you before we complain about the obvious, be thankful for the simplicity of what is not going wrong.
the bottom line is that Simple. ;)
