to believe or not believe that is the question...

Being the pessimist and truest of all skeptics i am always looking at things with a look and thought in my head like.. hhmmm really.. one eyebrow raised and my mouth twisted to one side.. saying RRReeealllyyy ok.

Life can be very interesting and sometimes things happen to make you rethink things you have dismissed or would truly call crazy.

A wise man once told me "life is an uncertain Journey" ... in this journey do you believe we can run into people, places and things that are so familiar that you know you have known, been or had them?

The idea of I've known you, been here or held this object before in another life has its interesting points.

The Deja vu moment when you enter a room and instantly feel like you have been there has happened to me several times, was it that space i recognized .. someone or something in the room?

I once was in a antique store and while slowly walking through the dusty isles almost tripped over a small box.. it held many smaller object but one seemed to have a glow to me. It was a ring.. not a shiny one.. i remember it like it was yesterday.. dainty white gold a band that looked like vines small diamonds laced through out. I was immediately compelled to put the small ring on my ring finger and it fit like it was made for me. Not in the market for a ring i placed the ring back in the box and walked away with a feeling of confusion about the object that seemed to be speaking to me from a distance as if i had been its owner before.

Can you meet someone.. look them in the eye and feel that you have known them.. not one of those you look familiar looks but a true " i have known you?

You ask yourself in your head.. " where have i meet you before, who do we know in common, maybe they look so similar to someone else i truly know... yeah that's go to be it"

When you exhaust all those possibilities and your left with the reality of my soul just recognizes you.. you call yourself crazy and try and walk away!

I'm sure people of different faiths and back grounds see what happens in this journey differently based on religion and their own personal life experiences.

The bottom line is can somethings be true whether we believe it or not...

  1. We search a lifetime to find that "MOMENT". YOu know that moment one watches in the movies where the clouds part, the sun shines, the birds chirp and the actors gaze into the other's eyes, give one another that tight lipped old people's kiss; then cling to one another like a dryer sheet stuck to to the inside of your pants leg that you will rid yourself of when you get to work. I do digress, however, everyone cheers and agrees that it was fate and they claimed their destiny. Their "Forever".

But that is not how it is. Forever sits across the table from you and invites a conversation about work or school. One hears the words perfectly! So perfectly they don't makes sense. You look again into her face for clarity and then there is a gentle smile, then familiar laugh. But once again it is so perfect you do not hear it, you feel it. And with each perfect word and familiar laugh you begin to feel the tingling of conversations from another time warm you. A warm, but confusing place.

Then as you lie awake in bed trying to understand why you feel so connected to her laughter you recognize that this is the "Moment". But what one really understands is that this moment was only a continuation of a timeless conversation that has found its way back to you. Finally, recognizing her laugh has been searching to tickle your ears, as long as you wanted to to be tickled. That Forever has once again found its way back to you in new from, and she is undeniably part of you.

And for those who question how forever can have feeling then understand. Forever has a taste. She taste like your first drop of honeysuckle. And how does she sound? The sirens of Oddyseus would crash upon her shores. And smile? Have you seen a Rainbow? You will know, I promise.

But Forever does not enter your life like in a hollywood movie. Where one has waited a lifetime for that powerful moment to arrive and can seize the moment. It enters when you no longer believe it exists. When you have given up hope and accept that what you have is an acceptable substitute. And it looks you square in the eyes and says, "Here I am, what will you do with me."

I will let you know when I can answer her question.....

  2. Wow! All I can say is wow..reading your blog Michelle was like opening a piece of my heart and reading the underside, like the kind of secret code you have to turn upside down in a mirror to understand what it really says? I have had these "moments" before and often wonder why and dismiss it, then to think it again and ponder why is it the way it is. Is it my mind or my heart playing tricks on me..I once read something that makes perfect sense to me..and maybe rings true..it reads "You can close your eyes to things you dont want to see, but you cant close your heart to things you dont want to feel". Simply Beautiful.
